Bing – making any impact?

Have you been won over by Microsoft’s “Decision Engine”, Bing?  I read about the battle of the search engines on Marketing Pilgrim today.  It looks as though there was a slight increase in Microsoft’s search engine the month Bing was launched (June), but has slightly declined since that time.

Google is still the big dog with over 60% share in the U.S. as well as internationally.  Compare that to Yahoo with 8% and Microsoft with 3% in the states.

Anyone else wonder whether Microsoft’s use of the word “decision” in their marketing has actually hurt them?  I just have to wonder whether it pyschologically sounds as though the user doesn’t have a choice…

I could be way off base.  It’s just something to ponder.  Could also be the fact that we are so used to putting a word or phrase in and that’s how we’ve become programmed.
